ElPozo Alimentación has held the annual meeting of the XXXII edition of its Improvement Groups, an internal initiative which aims to improve the most significant processes of the production chain, through specific proposals from its workers which increase the company’s competitiveness and efficiency.

On this occasion, a total of 314 employees have participated, which have devised 189 actions related to all areas of the company, such as safety, environment, maintenance, prevention, delicatessen, logistics, slicing or purchasing, among others.

These groups act as teams of excellence made up of experienced workers who know the company processes in depth. Their objective is to detect improvement opportunities and propose actions which enable gains in efficiency, reduce costs and satisfy better the needs and expectations of its customers.

This year there were a total of 32 groups which presented specific measures with a high grade of implementation and have led to the start-up of energy saving plans, heat recovery systems, optimisation in the drying of products, improvements in the washing and storing systems or widening the parking spaces for the workers, among others.

During the presentation of the result, the president and the chief executive officer of ElPozo Alimentación, Tomás Fuertes and José Fuertes, valued this participation organism as a fundamental tool to consolidate the company’s leadership. Likewise, they thanked all the workers for their effort and commitment and encouraged them to continue advancing in the area of continuous improvement.

The Improvement Groups, which the company has been supporting for more than three decades, are a clear example of the business philosophy of ElPozo Alimentación, aimed at motivating and valuing their workers’ initiatives to increase company efficiency.
