The Grupo Fuertes Business Excellence Programme has given two students a grant to attend the best business school in Asia and the Pacific, the Antai College of Economics in Shanghai, to promote international mobility.

Today, Grupo Fuertes and the University of Murcia have presented diplomas to 21 students from the different degree courses of the Faculty of Business and Economics who have taken part in the third year of the Business Talent training course of the Grupo Fuertes Business Excellence Programme.

The event was presided over by the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, and the president of Grupo Fuertes, Tomás Fuertes. Also in attendance were the dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics and director of the programme, Samuel Baixauli; the Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Fuertes, Pablo Lorente; the president of the Social Council of the University of Murcia, Juan Antonio Campillo; and the vice-rector of Employment, Entrepreneurship and Society, Alicia Rubio.

This project has already trained 63 students from previous classes to promote business talent and establish a direct connection between the entrepreneurial reality and the daily academic lives of the students.

The Business Talent course, which lasts for ten weeks, is one of the most important lines of work in the Grupo Fuertes programme to facilitate the incorporation of the students into the world of work. This initiative introduces the students to leading-edge business management solutions from Grupo Fuertes, as well as to the dynamics taught by Human Resources to boost their employability.

Moreover, Grupo Fuertes promotes national and international work experience for students from the Faculties of Business and Economics. The Programme provides a grant to two students each year so that they can attend the best business school in Asia and the Pacific, the Antai College of Economics and Management in Shanghai, according the Financial Times’ ranking.

During the ceremony, the director of the Programme made an appraisal of the collaboration between the university and the company Grupo Fuertes over the last three years. He highlighted its success in talent creation and as a catalyst for innovation, driving joint RDI projects around the main technologies for business management, with own solutions in the field of business intelligence, robotic process automation, artificial intelligence and the internet of things (IoT).

The president of Grupo Fuertes, Tomás Fuertes, spoke to the students to transmit the social responsibility they must have, giving back to society more than they have received, and to help to improve it. The rector of the University of Murcia thanked Grupo Fuertes for its contribution and underlined the importance of other companies also beginning projects of this kind.

Grupo Fuertes has established two programmes in the University of Murcia, one linked to the Faculty of Business and Economics, and the other on Food Safety and Sustainability, in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, to promote innovation and internationalisation and apply the results of knowledge to business activity. These activities are an example of the close relationship of the company with this educational establishment in the field of RDI.
