The award ratifies its commitment as European Sport and Healthy Company, for promoting sporting activity and healthy habits among its over 5,000 employees

El Pozo Alimentación has received the Gold distinction for three years’ participation in the European Sport and Healthy Company Award. This award certifies the company’s voluntary effort to promote sporting activity and healthy habits among its over 5,000 employees, and to associate their practice with the acquisition of the corporate values.

With this distinction, El Pozo Alimentación ratifies the recognition it received as European Sport and Healthy Company, promoted by ACES Europe and DHC, the International Organization of Human Capital Managers, and is the first food company to obtain it.

The Gold prize was presented at a prizegiving ceremony in the Italian city of Turin yesterday. It is a recognition of the best practices adhered to by El Pozo Alimentación over recent years in the development of healthy policies and initiatives in the organisation.

Commitment to sport and healthy habits

El Pozo Alimentación is affiliated with sport and health. The company has 5,000 m2 of sports areas for the exclusive use of the staff, and a broad offer including gym, padel and tennis courts and a sheltered pavilion for indoor football and other activities.

The company’s backing of sports is a main pillar of its CSR policy, and it also sponsors the Spanish Paraolympics Team, the Tour of Spain (La Vuelta), the ElPozo Women’s Football Club and the ElPozo Indoor Football team, among others.

As well as by promoting sporting activity, El Pozo Alimentación promotes health in the work setting with initiative such as health and psychosocial health care and surveillance, vaccination and blood donation campaigns, healthy menus, relaxation rooms and medical attention 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
