Bodegas Luzón renews its commitment to the environment with the SWfCP certificate

25/03/2024

It reaffirms its commitment to the future of the planet thanks to its care for the land and its winemaking and waste management practices

The Jumilla-based winery is consolidating its ecological commitment by renewing one of the most demanding certificates in terms of good practices aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and sustainability. Its commitment to the environment and ecology is reflected in its attention to the land, in its winemaking methods and in its efficient waste management, aimed at reducing its impact on the ecosystem.

The recognition awarded by the Spanish Wine Federation (FEV [Federación Española del Vino]) is a Sustainability Regulation, held by very few Spanish companies, which guarantees that the environmental, economic, social and governance requirements are met. This certificate honours the company for its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, efficient water management, waste minimisation, as well as energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.

By renewing the SWfCP, Bodegas Luzón highlights its commitment to the environment and to the continuous improvement of its processes and practices, which began years ago with the production of natural wines and the ISO 14001 certification in Environmental Management.

The wine company promotes different actions and the search for more efficient solutions, which guarantee the protection of the planet and the availability of healthy and affordable wines, also for future generations.

This organisation, part of Grupo Fuertes, is one of the largest producers of wine in the Jumilla Protected Designation of Origin, and their products have a distinctive personality and a high level of prestige among both experts and consumers.
