This certification allows Bodegas Luzón to position its organic wines in the Asian giant

Bodegas Luzón has just obtained the demanding GB/T-19630 certificate that allows it to market its organic wines in the Asian giant thanks to its compliance with the rigorous requirements relating to the care of its natural environment and the cultivated land, as well as the elimination of the use of phytosanitary products and fertilisers.

In China, there has been a great interest in organic products due to the constant and rapid socio-economic development of the country’s population, as well as technological advances in agricultural production and changes in eating habits.

In recent years, due to the constant and rapid socio-economic development of the Chinese population, technological advances in agricultural production and changes in eating habits, the interest in organic foodstuffs has grown considerably.

Obtaining this seal, which only five wineries in Spain have achieved, has required Bodegas Luzón to regulate its production, processing, labelling and organic product management systems for its grapes, as well as the production and marketing of its organic wines.

All organic products marketed in China are subject to a higher degree of control and must be certified by a body authorised by the Chinese government in order to be sold as organic products.

This certification joins those already held by the company, such as that of its organic wines by the Organic Farming Board of the Region of Murcia (CAERM [Consejo de Agricultura Ecológica de la Región de Murcia]) since 2001 and the American organic certification NOP since 2004, which, when added to its ISO 14001 certificate and the “Wineries for climate protection”, demonstrate the high commitment to the sustainability of its products and processes.
