Grupo Fuertes to hire 80 disabled people

23/10/2018

The business group has signed an Inserta Agreement with the ONCE Foundation, through Inserta Empleo, for the integration of disabled people into the working environment.

Grupo Fuertes joins the ‘Inserta Responsible Forum’, a space for collaboration and debate created with the objective of boosting the exchange of experiences

The managing  director of the ONCE Foundation, José Luis Martinez Donoso and the president of Grupo Fuertes, Tomás Fuertes, have today signed in Murcia an Inserta Agreement which will lead to the recruitment of  80 disabled people in the companies which are part of the holding group over the next four years.

The agreement is part of the operational programmes of Social Inclusion and Social Economy (Poises) and Youth Employment (POEJ), which are being run by the ONCE Foundation through Inserta, with co-financing from the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative, to increase the training and employment of people with disabilities.

José Luis Martínez Donoso said that this agreement reaffirms the long collaboration that Grupo Fuertes has had with the ONCE Foundation and  Inserta Empleo which started in 2013 when ELPOZO ALIMENTACIÓN signed an Insert Agreement which was renewed in 2016 and which exceeded the expected recruitment figures. The agreement signed today “is a challenge for us for which we have the collaboration of Grupo Fuertes for its execution”.

For his part, Tomás Fuertes explained that “the creation of social wealth and the collaboration with the most vulnerable groups of society are and always will be strategic objectives of our organization”. He added that “we are very proud to be able to go hand in hand with the ONCE Foundation in the essential work that it undertakes to make the world a better place”.

Grupo Fuertes will rely on Inserta, the ONCE Foundation’s entity for training and employment, to cover the new posts that the company needs, to preselect the candidates who best fit the required profile and to give tailor made training which allows them to perform the assigned job.

The agreement also contemplates the promotion of other actions which favour the work insertion of people with disabilities indirectly, via the acquisition of goods and contracting  services from the special employment centres.
